Rickie R. Wesbrooks
A master of needlepoint and tapestry, Wesbrooks taught at such prestigious institutions as: Brenau University, UNC Ashville, and as Western Carolina University, in Cherokee, NC. He was well-known for weaving in the Gobelins tradition, a name associated with tapestry creation for the courts of Louis XIV.
Wesbrooks served as an apprentice to some of the most renown needle art professionals, such as Elsa Williams, Eva Rosenstand, Lee Pocurri, Indie Cockerham and Geeta Bradley. Newspaper and magazine clippings about Wesbrooks' work follow below.
